Summer is coming to a close...you can tell by the rush for school supplies at Wally World and the 100+ temperatures that signal the start of August. Aimee and I thought, pretty convincingly, that this Summer was going to be the worst we have ever experienced. No vacation plans, I had to teach and do the annual conference travel, we had a newborn in the house etc, etc....We were going to be content just sitting at home watching the kids grow. Well, we were wrong. This Summer has turned out to be one of the best we have ever experienced. Got to see the beach (twice) got to see and spend quality time with family and friends. Jack went fishing with his uncle John, Maggie was awesome and has been enjoyed by everyone around her (seriously sweet child). We are officially off of nighttime pull-ups (yippee! another 30 dollars a month has been released into the gas fund). Maggie took her first bites of rice cereal the other night and she LOVED it! Also, Nathan came home safely from Afghanistan AND they bought their first home! The Sunday School class Aimee and I teach is growing, our church is doing well. We are both learning and growing in Christ and Jack got to experience vacation bible school for the first time. The bottom line is that God is truly awesome. Been a fun Summer!
